Dr S. Kayemba Kay’s is Consultant Paediatrician in-charge of the NICU at the Centre Hospitalier Général d’Angoulême in France. He did his MBBS studies at Gajra Raja Medical College at Gwalior in India under a Government of India’s scholarship, and trained as Intern and Senior House Officer at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. He completed his MD Paediatrics training at the University teaching hospitals at Grenoble and Lyon in France; He worked and collaborated with Professor P. François as member of a clinical research team on Paediatric Infectious disease at the Grenoble University teaching hospital. He also worked as senior Registrar at Chambery hospital, Trinité hospital in Martinique, Pointe-à-PitreUniversity teaching hospital in Guadeloupe (French west Indies) and Avranches-Granville hospital in Normandy. He was selected for a clinical research fellowship by the Imperial College School of Medicine, Science and Technology and worked for a short period under the supervision of Professor David Harvey and Dr Daphne Holt at the Karim Centre for Meningitis Research before being called back to France for his current post.
